What have I been up to?

Hi guys,

This is just an update on what i've been working on.

This is my pre-heresy mkIII Imperial Fist boarding marine. I've heavily weathered him using weathering powders. The base has also been done with weathering powders and washes. I've gone for a red and white helmet to show the 'blood and bone' of the legion. Let me know what you think!

I've also tried to scratch and dame the legion iconography to give that battered and weathered look.

I've finally finished my first contemptor dread for my World Eater's army. I've taken the colour scheme from the Forgeworld website. I also picked up some Forgeworld World Eaters transfers which are beautiful. Like the rest of my World Eaters, i'm going clean and undamaged (unlike my Imperial Fists). I want to give an impression of the Legion early on in the Great Crusade. Here are a couple of photos...

Here is something else I've been working on...

These are my World Eaters destroyer marines. I've taken the colour scheme from Betrayal (the destroyers in there had legion insignia on both shoulder pads). With these guys I did some battle damage to show the rad weapon's effect on the armour (peeling away the paint). On Templars Crusade 01 recommendation, I also tried the minitaire Raven Black for these guys. I thought it was a bit glossy at first but the nuln oil wash really knocked it back.

And finally, I've been doing a little more work on Angron. Still going with this guy and still have lots to do. I used Valejo's Game colour for this guy. Would really recommend it for any of you who haven't used them yet.

Been a while...

Hello all,

Been a while since i posted something so I thought I would just give you an update of some WIP shots.

This is my Terminator squad for my Imperial Fists Army. Been working on these off and on for some time and I just need to finish the bases.

As always, let me know what you think. Any comments would be welcome.

In addition to my Imperial Fists, i've also been dabbling in some World Eaters. My Fists are battered and worn but i wanted a total contrast with the World Eaters. I've made them as clean as a whistle. i wanted a more noble look; the legion in the early years kind-of-look. I've finished the Rampagers but i'm still working on Angron and the Contemptor.

Let me know what you think. Not that i'm an expert , but if you want any advice on how I did any of them, let me know.

Introductions

Hey guys,

I've been into this hobby since I was a wee lad. I've really got into this hobby in a big way over the past year and a half and after a conversation with TemplarsCrusade01 at Games Day I thought it was about time I put some of my stuff up on the web.

I'm not the best painter and I'm still learning, but I wanted to share what I've been up to so you guys can give me some advice.

I've been working on an Imperial Fists army recently and here are a few photos to get me started. Let me know what you think. They still need some work and a matt varnish.
